I’m slowly feeling better. My eyes are still a little red and tender but are both back to their normal size and open all the way, so that’s happy. My throat’s still a little icky but I can at least function now. That’s definitely an improvement. ODD went to a conference for three days last [...] I look forward to the holiday season, Christmas in particular, because of all the yummy goodies that only seem right during this time of year. Monday, as our first real day home after Thanksgiving, I started the goody-making. I’ve been thinking about these for a few months now and had an idea to change them [...] This weekend I made a few more batches of French macarons. They’re just so yummy and there are so many variations I want to try I can’t seem to stop myself. I’m okay with that, though, plus I’m not consuming them all by myself. We took a bunch to church choir on Sunday and they [...] I love this time of year because it makes me want to bake. A few weeks ago I made egg nog pound cake which turned out pretty darn tasty, I usually make at least a few apple pies throughout the season, and right now I’m in the process of making some different kinds of macarons.
