In my excitement for posting about making candy canes I completely forgot to mention the sad chaotic hilarious episode we had with the molasses taffy. We’ve made molasses taffy for years now and it’s never been a favorite of mine. It’s like black strap candy if you’ve ever seen or heard of that. It’s made [...] We were recently at a family reunion for ODD’s mom’s family. The house it was held at had a great big sandbox with lots of sand toys. Our kids loved it and we had to practically drag them out of the sand when it was time to go. On the way home ODD began planning [...] To celebrate my birthday this weekend we took a trip to Tinytown to visit our families. First we headed to ODD’s parents. One of ODD’s sisters was visiting and we all played outside. Wingnut had fun in the swing and Peanut, aside from a freak-out over a box elder bug on the slide had fun [...] Yep, I’m adding to the throng of Mother’s Day posts. I’ll try not to make it too shmaltzy. ODD had short call on Sunday meaning he goes in for rounds and stays until 5 or 6. This left me getting everyone ready for church by myself which I don’t love but it’s not the end [...] I wake up when the music pauses and roll over in bed to reach for my glasses. ODD’s been out of bed for the last hour or more so, being the wild sleeper I am, I’ve taken over the place without even realizing it. As I stumble out of my tangle of sheets the music [...] |
