Angry Birds

On Saturdays ODD can only sleep in so long. His internal clock is so accustomed to waking up early that he can’t manage to sleep in very long. I, on the other hand, would sleep until 11 if left to my own devices. Once ODD is up and banging around the house it doesn’t take long for Peanut and Wingnut to follow. If ODD does try to sleep in the kids eventually get up and crawl in with us. Saturday mornings are the only times they’re allowed to climb into bed with us and we spend most of that time laughing, hiding under blankets, tickling, and throwing pillows. Then ODD and the kids get up, start making pancakes or waffles for breakfast, and I try to get a little more sleep.

A couple of weekends ago while ODD and Peanut were making breakfast Wingnut took ODD’s phone and brought it into our room. He climbed up on the bed next to me and started playing Angry Birds. The sight just made me laugh and I had to get up to take a picture.

I love his little legs stretched straight out in front of him and it’s hilarious to watch his fat, little fingers maneuver the slingshot that flings the birds. He concentrates quite intently on it.

Both he and Peanut are very into Angry Birds. I posted a bit about it today on Everything Is Amazing as well because I found an Angry Birds magnetic free printable online and printed them for my kids. They played with them all afternoon. Peanut is especially good at setting up the pigs to be knocked over. This little arrangement was all her doing. I was quite surprised and impressed.

If your kids are as into Angry Birds as mine are you should give this little printable a shot. Mine are in Angry Bird heaven.
