ODD bought some cheapie, little kites for his family’s reunion a few weeks ago and we didn’t end up using them so I returned all but one. We gave that one to Peanut and on Saturday we took her to the park to fly it after a picnic (or as Peanut says “pick-a-nick”) dinner.
It’s usually fairly windy at this park and her little kite was so light it popped right up.
It took a little while for her to get that she didn’t have to run to keep it in the sky.
Wingnut has chocolate cupcake hiding around his binkie. He must have been saving it for later.
Since it was a Saturday evening the park was crawling and there was even a big birthday party and some religious party going on (not the same group doing both). There was a pretty big, open area to fly a kite, though so we weren’t crowded out. ODD tried flying his kite but it was too heavy for the amount of wind we had so we mostly just watched Peanut fly hers.

That Wingnut’s a smart one…saving some cupcake on his binky for later. A kid after my own heart! Love it!
Looks like an awesome park! My boys have a collection of cheap little kites that they cannot part with. Most of them are broken or torn but they love them anyway.
