Yep, I’m adding to the throng of Mother’s Day posts. I’ll try not to make it too shmaltzy. ODD had short call on Sunday meaning he goes in for rounds and stays until 5 or 6. This left me getting everyone ready for church by myself which I don’t love but it’s not the end [...] I love the chapter in Little Women when Meg gets ambitious and makes currant jelly. She has John order some pots and extra sugar for the jelly and he sends a boy over to pick currants from their bush. She boils and strains over and over again but the jelly never “jells” and in the [...] Lately I’ve been making quite a few thing; mostly cooking/baking-making but also some sewing-making as well. Last week there were a few days that were so nice outside it felt like spring was really here. To help me feel a little more spring-y I made some Santa Rosa Valley Salad. Peanut gobbles it up but [...] For the last four weeks ODD’s rotation has kept him away from home for dinner every few nights. The ten weeks before that kept him from dinner five days a week. Sometimes, since I’m the only one really caring about what I’m eating (Peanut would happily subsist on PB and honey sandwiches if I let [...] It’s time again for me to reassess my goals. I didn’t do much with them at all through all of April since I was out of town basically the first 11 days. After that I was just a slacker. ODD started his Internal Medicine rotation the week after I got back and with the upheaval [...] |
