You will never believe this but
I’M A GARDENER!
I GARDEN!
Sort of.
The seeds I have planted have actually sprouted! I have been so good about watering and making sure they’re okay I feel like a new mama. The peas in the yard are getting so big and I’ve even pulled out plants that aren’t peas around them when I go out to look.
Little sprouts – at first I wasn’t sure if they were really peas or not.
A little while later.
Just last week. Aren’t they big a pretty? I like the little curly bits.
My little cups of starts are even growing. I have to remember to water these since they don’t see any rain (or snow as the case has been lately) and I’m even remembering to open the blinds so they get some sun, too. Look at me go! Tia recommended poking holes in the bottom of the cups so they don’t get over-watered so I had ODD do that and now I don’t take my plants lives in my hands every time I water.
I think I may have killed some of my seeds with my first over-watering because a few of my cups haven’t sprouted at all. I was most worried about my peppers because I hadn’t seen a single pepper sprout in any of my pepper cups so I thought maybe I’d have to buy new seeds and start again with them. Then, just the other day, while inspecting my cups I found a couple of pepper sprouts. I also found an itty bitty snail and a little worm while inspecting but I’m choosing to pretend I don’t know they’re there.
Sometime later this month I’ll plant my little starts out in the yard and hope they don’t freeze. I’ve never gotten this far keeping any plants alive before. I’m so proud of myself.

Woo hoo! Go you! I grew some basil and some flowers from seeds this spring. It’s an awesome feeling for someone with a black thumb, like me.
That is so cool! I’m so proud of you!
Oh yay! I cannot help but be a bit jealous.
Wow! I am impressed! You go girl!
Isn’t it so rewarding to see those little sprouts! I told Daniel gardening felt like having children that don’t talk back and you might actually be able to find a book to read that will work on them
Yeah for your garden!
I still haven’t planted my peas and beans. My garden doesn’t grow quite as well as yours. ;o)
