Update On The Idiots

I called The Idiots today.  That is how ODD and I now refer to the incompetent morons who work at St. Mark’s Billing and Anthem Blue Cross.  Remember how ABC had received the corrected claim and it was being processed?  It has been denied.  AGAIN!  Because they are missing the processing code for line one.  AGAIN!  Why can’t these people just get it together and do their freaking jobs already!?  I spent the morning on the phone with both of them (yet again) and was told they will correct it AGAIN! and resubmit it AGAIN!  I know “resubmit” and “again” sound redundant in the same sentence but in this case it is accurate.  They have resubmitted it many times always missing one thing or another that is required.  Because they’re freaking idiots.  Hence the name they have been give by my household.  I won’t go into the details of my phone conversations with them but suffice it to say it was pretty obvious I was not happy with how things continue to be handled.  Holy #%&*!  What kind of scam are these people running!?  I was so angry while I was on the phone I was actually shaking.  Even now, hours later,I’m so pissed off I’m spitting nails.  On the bright side, being this angry makes me clean so my almost 3 weeks of laundry is finally getting done and the rest of my house is well on it’s way to being spic and span.  I just wish I could be doing it with a happy song in my heart instead streams of swear words going through in my head.

  • Perhaps they don’t want to really get paid? Can you go over their heads at St. Marks? I do happen to be quite closely related to a guy who works in accounting at HQ over St. Marks… and part of his job is making sure all his hospitals get paid every penny they are owed… or is the issue with the insurance? SO frustrating for you!!!

  • I’d do some serious plotting to blow up the billing department! What a joke! Don’t you wish you could just do it yourself instead of having to rely on IDIOTS! I have cuss words going through my head just thinking about it!

    I am so sorry, but so not surprised. I hope you can get it cleared up by the 3 year mark, at least!

  • Oh, no! What a nightmare! I hope it all get straightened out soon. You’re right about calling them idiots! I cannot stand insurance companies and their bureaucratic mess! So, so frustrating!!!
