As kids both ODD and I used those orange plastic pumpkin pails to collect our Halloween candy. I’ve always anticipated our kids using the same thing. Then I got a pattern idea in my brain. And I HAD to make it. So I did. ODD was a bit disappointed that we weren’t going the plastic [...] Yesterday I wanted to make something different from my normal stuff for a treat. I usually make Nieman Marcus cookies or Apple Pie or Gorilla Poop cookies (otherwise known as no-bake cookies) when I want a treat. I wasn’t really in the mood for any of them and wanted something sweet and yummy. We read Halloween books, made Halloween crafts, and one of the days we talked about spiders, since they seem to be a common decoration at Halloween time. Peanut used watercolors to paint a spider’s web, then I helped her paint [...] ODD’s birthday was earlier in the week but since he had clinic all day followed by a resident meeting at night we decided to celebrate it on Friday instead.
