On Wednesday Peanut slept in really late so when she finally woke up I went right in to get her. I changed her diaper and it was completely dry so I quickly ran her over to her little potty and sat her down. Just a few seconds later I heard her pee and clapped and cheered! She clapped and cheered, too, though I don’t think she understood why until I stood her up and showed her the little bit of liquid in the bowl. I told her I was so proud of her and we cheered again. We cleaned everything up and I gave her a little treat for going potty.
Not quite ready to deal with everything that comes with full on potty training I put back on a diaper and called NYDD and my mom to share the good news! *Note: While I was spreading the news she pooped in her diaper. One step at a time, I guess.*
The next morning, even though she’d already peed in her diaper she went in the potty again and the same thing after her nap! We had kind of a wild week(end) with visitors and a few days away from home so I haven’t really done anything else with it, but I think it’s about time. She loves her Dora undies and is excited to go potty get treats so maybe we’ll give it a go.
