Last Tuesday I made a little trip to my parent’s house to see a couple of friends.
Dominoe is in town for a couple of weeks so she and I met for lunch with our kiddlets and took them to a park to eat and play. We had fun chatting and laughing at our kids. We baked in the hot, hot sun while swinging the kids. They had a lot of fun and it was so great to see Dominoe since I hadn’t seen her in years.
Later in the afternoon Lacey came over to play. I got to meet her sweet little Ivy and give her a baby gift. She’s just beautiful but I didn’t take any pictures because I was too busy snuggling. Peanut was kind of into her, too. She kept trying to take Ivy from me. It seemed like she wanted to hold her, which I was glad to see. At least she wasn’t trying to shove her off my lap. She finally gave up trying to hold her and sat next to me and looked at Ivy pointing out her toes, ears, hair (which she has lots of and it’s beautiful), and other various body parts she knows. Lacey and I had a good visit and I was sad to say goodbye to the two of them.
Even though I didn’t get pictures of actually playing with Lacey and Ivy I will share pics of the little gift I gave them. I knitted some little t-strap booties and made her a little flouncy skirt and onesie. Ivy’s so tiny it will probably be a little while before she fits them but I think she’ll look darling in them.

That looks like so much fun. As usual, Peanut is the bomb-diggity in tutu-esque skirts!
That’s a gorgeous baby gift! Love it!!!
What darling little clothes you make! I so wish I had a girl! Not that I could sew her anything, but I can wish.
what a cute skirt and top…man I need to learn how to sew! I’m so impressed!
*sniff*
Sad you are not playing with me. I’m only 11 hours away, what’s the problem?
@ Kermit,
I’m totally wishing. *sniff*

I just can’t tell you enough how talented you are! Love the outfit and booties! Oh! What I would give to see my friends again in person and chat with them! HOw fun!
I love the fervor with which you MAKE stuff! Someday I’m going to ask to just watch you in action and figure out how you fit it into your days.
